Giovanni Salazar
FOUNDER
Giovanni is a distinguished U.S. Soccer Federation Coach, possessing an impressive tenure of 17 years at the club level. He has successfully attained the USSF E, D, and C licenses, underscoring his dedication to professional development and coaching excellence. With over eight years of focused experience in youth soccer coaching, Giovanni has cultivated a deep understanding of athlete development. His commitment to fostering young talent was further enriched through mentorships with renowned coaches in San Antonio. Motivated by a vision to empower athletes to achieve their utmost potential, Giovanni founded Efficient Soccer. Additionally, Giovanni's academic background from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with a primary focus on Kinesiology, complements his practical coaching skills, providing a well-rounded approach to athlete training and development.
Sara Nishiyama

Sara is a player in collegiate women's soccer at OLLU University, with over 16 years of experience that began in Laredo, Texas. Her coaching journey started there, reflecting her dedication to player development. Sara's extensive background in elite-level soccer brings invaluable expertise, marked by refined techniques and strategic prowess. Beyond the field, her ability to connect with young athletes, inspire, and mentor shapes character and instills enduring values.
Samantha Nava
HEAD COACH
​Born and raised in San Antonio, Sam is an accomplished coach and former collegiate soccer player at OLLU University, with over 17 years of club-level experience. Having been a part of top local clubs such as Classics Elite, Sam’s passion for soccer started early and has grown into a lifelong dedication to the game. Her elite-level playing career sharpened her technical skills and strategic understanding, which she now brings into her coaching.
With a commitment to player development, Sam excels at connecting with young athletes, guiding them both on and off the field. Her coaching not only enhances soccer ability but also fosters important values like teamwork, discipline, and resilience, shaping well-rounded individuals.
